Exposed rough stoneware shows occasional signs of the artisans' fingers that were left during the hand-throwing process. The sides were smoothed but one can still see stoneware pores as if the dinnerware is breathing. The inside is covered in an opaque white glaze for convenient use. The salad bowl holds a generous serving. The mini bowl is perfect for ice cream, yogurt, granola, condiments and snacks.
