A hand thrown and shaped white stoneware bulb vase, made by Portland ceramicist Kati von Lehman and called the White Sand Bulb Vase. The stoneware has a rounded, full body with a narrow neck, finished in a matte white interior glaze and a textured white exterior glaze flecked with iron. The exterior texture catches the light unevenly, giving the white stoneware a sand-like, granular surface. This particular vase came out of the kiln with its own scatter of iron flecks and its own curve. There is only one.
