A vintage Chinese hand-carved soapstone vessel, with two open cups rising from a pierced base carved with cut chrysanthemum flowers, leaves, and vining stems in high relief. The stone has a soft, mottled tan and warm rose tone throughout, with fine hand-carved detail across every surface.

Works as a double vessel for pens, brushes, or small dried stems, or a standalone sculptural piece on its own. In excellent condition, no chips or damage. No maker mark visible on the base. There is only one.
