A vintage silver butter dish by Gordon, with a scalloped, domed lid topped by a finial handle, and a matching scalloped base holding a pressed glass insert with a starburst pattern. The silver has a soft, aged patina throughout, the kind that comes with decades of gentle use.

Works as a butter dish for the table, or a decorative lidded box for the vanity or console when not in service. In excellent condition, no dents or damage. Marked Gordon. There is only one.
