A antique mother of pearl shell pocket watch dish set into a brass frame and mounted on a decorative brass stand with leaf and vine detailing. The shell is smooth and iridescent, shifting between cream, pale pink, and warm gold depending on the light. The brass stand rises on curved legs with a cast leaf motif at the base and a smaller leaf accent at the rim of the frame, the kind of detail that suggests the piece was made to be looked at as much as used.
