A vintage brass planter cast in the form of a nautilus shell, with a spiral body, a wide open top, and a ribbed shell base. The brass has developed a rich, uneven patina ranging from warm gold on the body to deep amber and near-black at the spiral and base, the kind of surface that only comes from age and handling. The interior is smooth and open, wide enough for a small trailing plant, a succulent, or a handful of loose stems.

The shell form reads as both decorative and functional without trying too hard for either. In good condition with honest wear consistent with age. There is only one.
