This large handbuilt porcelain moon vase comes from Portland ceramicist Tonya Abel's studio. The porcelain has a full, rounded body that narrows to a small opening at the top, giving the piece a soft, moonlike silhouette. The matte oatmeal glaze sits even across the surface, giving the porcelain a warm, muted tone. The vase's large scale makes it a quiet, standalone piece on a shelf or table, equally at home holding a single stem or standing empty. This particular vase came out of Tonya's studio with its own slight curve and its own weight in the hand. There is only one.
