Yahae’s alpaca socks are made of a blend of alpaca, a natural material, and are very textured and warm. On the otherhand, due to the nature of the yarn, the heels and soles, which rub agains the shoes, become thinner as they are used. Since this is particulary delicate be mindful of the following:
Use a neutral detergent and air dry the socks
Avoid the dryer as this will cause shrinkage
To prevent wear, use the socks in rotation
How to care for your socks:
Turn inside out: This protects the threads from being worn out by friction
Wash by hand or with a lower spin speed: Be sure to set it to hand-wash cycle or delicate wash cycle and use mild detergent.
Dry in shade with the cuffs up: You can air dry them inside out. Leaving the cuffs up helps prevent the elastic from deteriorating. Don’t use the dryer to dry
