A stoneware candle holder dish in a bronze glaze, made by Portland ceramicist Tonya Abel. The stoneware takes the form of a small shallow dish with a raised center socket sized to hold a single taper candle. The dish catches dripping wax as the candle burns down, and the pooled wax only adds to the piece's romantic, well-loved look over time. The bronze glaze catches the light unevenly across the surface, darker where it pools and warmer at the raised edges.
