I’m excited to introduce these handcrafted essential oil scented soaps from the artists at Saipua. I’ve been following Saipua’s floral work for a long time and have always considered it to be a great source of inspiration.

Saipua, a creative collective lead by Sarah Ryhanen, began in 2006 with a Brooklyn studio devoted to the dual crafts of flower arranging and soap-making (Saipua means “soap” in Finnish, a nod to Sarah's heritage and the tradition of Sauna). Through her floral practice, Sarah has cultivated a distinct aesthetic, inspiring a broad movement in floral design. Saipua's work has adorned weddings worldwide, runway shows, and collaborations with artists and organizations. Over the years Saipua has developed into a dynamic consortium of creative endeavors; cultivating products, spaces, educational programming, and experiences that foster and encourage more intimate and provocative connections to the natural world. The Farm at Worlds End, founded in 2011, has become the current headquarters of the Saipua team.

Black Soap with Charcoal and Patchouli - Activated charcoal draws out oils from the skin, making this an excellent complexion soap. Scented with an earthy blend of patchouli and lime essential oil. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, charcoal, and essential oils.

Cedarwood - With a grounding aroma of warm and woody cedarwood, it is a Saipua’s take on this all-time classic scent. The wood was burned by the Greeks and Romans to fragrance the air. The many benefits of cedar wood oil have been used for centuries to promote vitality and soothe the mind.

Saltwater - An essential oil blend creates a scent reminiscent of the ocean. Made with salt and nori. Contrary to popular belief this is not an exfoliating soap; though the salt conditions the water as you shower and creates a creamy and unique lather. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, salt, nori, and essential oils.

Rose Geranium - An intoxicating and uplifting floral essential oil blend focusing on rose geranium. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter and essential oils.

Clary Sage with Dill - The scent of this soap is clean, earthy, and bright. It's worth mentioning that smelling clary sage essential oil is known to induce euphoria. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, dill weed, and essential oils.

Coffee Mint - Made with coffee grounds and peppermint essential oil, this is a great soap for removing the smell of garlic or onions from your hands next to the kitchen sink, though many people like this invigorating bar for their morning shower. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, coffee, and essential oils.

Goat Milk Soap with Basil - A creamy, soothing soap suitable for face or body blended with basil essential oil; peppery and sweet with notes of anise. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, goat milk, and essential oils.

Gardeners Handsoap - Made with cornmeal and spearmint this gritty hand soap is great next to your kitchen or garden sink. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, cornmeal, and essential oils.

Vetiver - French green clay works in this soap to gently draw out impurities and tighten the pores. A good facial soap for those with sensitive and oily skin. The essential oil blend focuses on vetiver, a smoky scent, rounded out by the addition of citrus. Contains saponified oils of olive, coconut, and castor, with shea butter, french green clay, and essential oils.
