A hand-carved wooden boat tray with scrolled ends, a deep hollowed interior, and a braided inlay running the length of the spine. The wood is dark and dense, worn smooth from decades of use, with that deep saturation in color that simply cannot be rushed.

The carved wood has developed a rich, uneven patina across the surface, with tool marks still visible along the interior walls. There is minor checking in the wood consistent with natural drying over time, and slight variation in the braided inlay near one end. The scrolled ends are solid and grounded, curling under in a form that is as sculptural as it is functional.

A beautiful object on a console, coffee table, or mantle. The carved wooden tray sits flat and stable.
