Vintage Hand Sculpture
A vintage handbuilt ceramic hand sculpture in a grey glaze, the fingers curved upward and slightly spread, the palm open and tilted, rising from a tapered wrist base. The glaze is uneven and marbled, shifting between cool grey and pale silver depending on the light, with the texture of the clay body visible beneath. The surface carries clear tool marks throughout -- the kind of piece that was built by hand and makes no effort to hide it.
Two hairline cracks are visible, one across the palm and one at the back of the wrist. Both are stable and do not compromise the structure of the piece. The ceramic stands upright on its own and holds its presence as a shelf or desk sculpture. There is only one.
