A vintage matte black ceramic globe lamp base, round and substantial, paired with a handmade pleated shade by Filling Spaces, a Portland maker known for their hand block printed textiles made in India. The ceramic base is smooth and dark, with the quiet density of something that has real weight to it. The shade is gathered in fine vertical pleats, the fabric a soft warm white with a delicate hand block printed border running the top and bottom edges.

The wood ball finial at the top is a small, considered detail that warms the whole thing up. The contrast between the dark matte ceramic and the light, softly textured shade is exactly what makes this lamp work.
